Control Winds missing from Druid Spells?

Not sure if I'm missing something here or not, but according to the Core Rulebook, Control Winds is a 5th level druid spell. I have an older printout with the spell listed, so I know it used to be available in Hero Lab. But now, when I load that same character, I get an error saying the Control Winds is an invalid selection. I tried removing it and re-adding it, but it's not listed to re-add.

I tried saving that character and loading it back in, in case something was corrupt in the profile. Nothing.

I tried creating a whole new druid. Still nothing.

I'm not sure if this is a bug, or if I'm missing something, so I'm checking in to ask if anyone else has this issue.

I do have the community packs installed, if that makes a difference.

you should report it. i also dont see the spell in the spell list but funnily enough when i go into the editor and do a New(Copy) of it, i can see it has Druid checked as a class to have it!

I have one computer where it does, and one where it does not. They're reportedly both up to date. Next thing to check is if they both have the same added sources.

If it's worth reporting, I'll report it, but I want to eliminate any obvious PEBKAC errors, first.

EDIT for clarification: By "added sources", I mean URLs added as additional sources, not sources from the "Configure Hero" window.

I'd look through the replacements. My guess is that it was replaced with a copy that has a source, and you don't have that source turned on.

It seems to be the community pack. I did some previous testing which indicated this, but my final test was:

1. I removed all my added sources.
2. I nuked my pathfinder data folder, just to be certain that nothing was left behind.
3. I re-downloaded Pathfinder.
4. I loaded Hero Lab, loaded Pathfinder, and created a 1st level Druid.
5. I went to the "Druid" tab, scrolled through the spells, and "Control Winds" was listed as a level 5 spell.
6. I added this URL as a source: http://www.shadowsoftware.net/herolab/d20pfsrd/updates.xml
7. I downloaded "Pathfinder 3PP Pack (v1.7)"
8. I loaded Pathfinder and created another 1st level Druid.
9. I went back to the spells list, and "Control Winds" was NOT listed.

Found the culprit.

Filename: COM_3PPPack_RGG - Magic, Air.user
Line 833:

<thing id="spSGGdCW" name="Control Winds" description="[long description]" replaces="spContWin5">

As I understand it, "replaces" is independent of source, so if you define one item as replacing another, give that item a source, but don't select the source, then the original item, as well as the new item, are both unavailable.

If you preclude instead of replace, then the original item is only unavailable if the source is selected.

I have this fixed for the next release. I also found a second spell "Whirlwind" that had the same issue. Fixed it also.

Sorry about that not sure how a Replace Thing ID slipped through. :(

Until the fix is out you can either modify the user file "COM_3PPPack_RGG - Magic, Air.user" to remove the Replace Thing ID. Or simply turn on the RGG - Air Magic source.
