Is there a way to make xbrk or composition work with a mode without having
to choose the composition ruleset as well as the mode?

What I want is to be able to select the mode and then composition group
rules to kick in automatically.

I am working with a comp system with WHFB.
I am changing many of the comps with xcmp for the mode but I only want two
comp groups: Core and Special.
(The goal is to have mostly specials, with no limit on number per current
comp but to limit their numbers with the umax command).

Thanks, Jim K

Doesn't a mode allow you to select a ruleset to go with it?
mode:abbrev="name"{-time=x:y}{-rules="rules"}

Or is that not what you want to do?

It doesn’t make it automatic. You must choose the mode and the choose the
ruleset separately. I run a campaign and all the guys can’t all figure out
how to select the mode.

I just looked, and using the -rules= part does auto-select a rule-set.
Or at least it does in the Gropos files I wrote.

---That is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks. (Someone has to ask the
