***Community Update Servers Changed***

Hosting Servers Have Changed!
Please note we have moved the d20 community package location to a new set of servers. This should better provide for future growth and puts all the packages for d20 and Pathfinder into the same location. So you will need to change the URL you have to
Code:
http://www.shadowsoftware.net/herolab/d20/updates.xml
from
Code:
http://www.cheeseweasel.net/herolab/updates.xml
If you need help doing this please see THIS pdf document.

Sorry for the inconveniences this causes to everyone. Please let everyone in your gaming group also know about this if you can. It is a one time change and once the URL above is changed you will get the new updates without issues.

The current servers will most likely continue to work for several more days but after that they will be gone and you may start getting error messages on load. So be sure to change the URL today.

Thanks
d20 Community Staff :)

Help Accessing User Defined Sourcebooks

Hello, I'm a new user to Hero Labs, and already it has saved me hours, I have just found and imported the most recent (I think Lawful_G d20). And I go to access the material from inside Hero Labs and nothing happens.
I think I know whats happening but I dont understand why.
When at the "Configure Your Hero Window" the pdf document giving instructions says I should see a "Large number of new hero settings" but I do not. No additional sources are displayed.
(http://www.cheeseweasel.net/herolab/DD35/Secondary Update URL Setup.pdf) is the pic, see step 11.
Now if I go into the editor and set the source for one of the feats to ALL I can see that feat just fine..

What am I doing wrong, why cant I see additional hero settings?

Hi TobyFox2002,

Welcome to Hero Lab. I'll see if I can help. If you are not seeing the additional options in the configure window, then my guess is the community set didn't download properly. One thing to check is step 4 of the document you linked to above. Make sure at this step you are using the new server address. You can see this in the very first post of this thread...that post also links a newer .pdf file. If this is set incorrectly, fixing that should resolve your problem. Let me know if it doesn't.

Hey all,

I seem to be having trouble getting the ipad app to recognize there are data files to download from the site. I put in the url (3 times with countless double checks in case i was silly) and while no errors pop up, it doesn't show me the data file to download.

The only game system currently available for the iPad app is Pathfinder, and you've posted this in a forum dedicated to Hero Lab's d20 system. Are you sure there are Pathfinder files available in that url?

I had questioned that myself, but it seems as through this is the only source for the user content for the pathfinder part of hero lab

the pathfinder data sets are at

http://www.shadowsoftware.net/herolab/d20pfsrd/updates.xml

not

http://www.shadowsoftware.net/herolab/d20/updates.xml

When it says "This should better provide for future growth and puts all the packages for d20 and Pathfinder into the same location," they're talking about it being on the same SERVER, not the same exact URL.
