I'm just curious if anyone has made a real with any open content at this point in preparation for the content market. Mainly I am interested if anyone has entered the CRB for pathfinder yet. I have entered bits and pieces in various realm but have not entered the whole book.

Hopefully this kind of content can be bought off the market place for a reasonable cost. OGL or not, I don't mind paying a few spacebucks, more we support LWD, RW and Paizo the more products and better supported we are.

Also, it is unlikely to be possible to get the CRB from other general users - as it is a Paizo product, it will hit copyright issues for other people to put it in.

That said, hopefully Paizo will have it well in hand.

And even if you enter it and if it is allowable to distribute, since it is Paizo's property, you probably can't charge anything for it....

If you want to put material up for a fee, I'd strongly recommend focusing on things that are truly your own. A village, an NPC, a band of bandito's, a place of power, an adventure, a collection of inn maps.... Those things will definitely be sought after; and if you do a nice job, some people may pay for them.

The content of the game mechanics from Paizo is mostly Open Content. Anyone .. *anyone*.. can take the open contents and re-publish them, and charge for them, as long as they follow the terms of the Open Game License.

However... the images from the Core Rulebook, and the bestiaries, are NOT open content. Likewise, some names of Feats, Prestige Classes, and other things from other books are NOT open content and cannot be used without permission. Paizo provides a community use license, which provides for non-commercial use of SOME content.

All of which is why the best advice is.. if you are not working with material that is 100% your own, talk to a lawyer.

Note: The terms of the Open Game License aren't all that onerous.. you need to designate which (if any) of your content is open or not, you need to include a copy of the license, and you need to include the copyright sections of the OGL of the products you're referencing ("Section 15" of the license, in whole). Even so, talking to a lawyer first is wise.
