Communications Issue?

I just bought RealmsWork and was trying to get started but when I try to make my account I get the error:

Account Creation Failed
Create Account failed due to a communications fault. Check your network connections and try again.

I don't have a firewall or anti-virus software - and I don't see any notice about the server being down. Is there anything else I need to do?
