Combining Game Systems?

Hi Everyone,

I'm pretty new to Hero Labs, so this question might be stupid (and if so...sorry).

Is it possible to combine elements from d20 system books into my Pathfinder box?

My game group is using pathfinder, but with eberron and d20 books allowed. I know that Cheese Weasel has a converted 3.5 package that adds to the d20 folder, but can I add it instead to the Pathfinder one?

Thanks for the help.

I am pretty sure the base rules are a little different in the programming so you cannot just take the d20 stuff and drop it in whole cloth. What we have done in our group is add feats, spells, and what not as needed in the editor.

Most items are really easy to do (spells, gear, etc) while some of the classes, races, and feats can be a little more involved.

If you have a specific thing you need and are having trouble with most of the folks here are great at pointing you in the right direction.

With the editor you can add any content you want to any system. its just a matter of coding. but d20 and pathfinder FILES do not translate the same so you can just copy files over you have to recreate them.

Sorry just wanted to clear that up is all as it sort of read that you could copy the files over. :)

I'm currently doing the same thing (except with Forgotten Realms) and you just have to accept and work around the fact that some of the rules are going to be different. Once you notice how, then you can create, modify, or substitute what you need to make the 3.5 stuff work smoothly with Pathfinder.

A few things I've stumbled upon so far;

Pathfinder uses a static multiplier for weight of your character, while 3.5 uses a random number. I just nixed the 3.5 method and went with the PF method.

Cleric domains are different. And you have to make sure if you're using deities from 3.5 that your players are getting a fair choice of domains for whatever god they choose to worship. For example; my cleric of Lathander has a 'Renewal' domain. Either I create that domain from scratch, or I leave it out. I left it out for now.

So far it doesn't seem that hard to do. It just requires you entering in some custom data for your campaign and figuring that the rules are going to bend a bit to be able to accommodate the conversion of the old 3.5 stuff.
