Color or Background control on columns

I tend to create a list for an army, print it out and then use it as a painting to do list as well as a army list.

I would like to alter the color or background on the name of a unit to indicate that it is 'in progress', etc.

Is there a way to do it that anyone is aware of?

If not, how about considering it as a new feature for future releases?
