Chaos HQ Choices

Quick bugfix note about the HQ choices for Chaos Space Marines...

If you select a special character as your he does not register as a
General/Commander/Whatever.

Some work fine, others do not.

Works :
-------
Demon Prince
Exultaed Prince
Fabius Bile
Mighty Champion
Abbadon

Doesn't Work:
-------------
Ahriman
Bloodthirster
Doomrider (is he even a valid HQ choice?)
Great Unclean One
Keeper of Secrets
Kharn
Lord Of Change
Sorcerer

Minor bug =)

And YES, I tried to email the author of the datafile, but the email
keeps bouncing...

Codex: Chaos Space Marines pg 5
"Their can be only one"

"A Chaos Space Marine army is the warband of a powerful leader. To represent
this, the army must be led by either a Chaos Lord or a Daemon Prince.
Furthermore, you may not include both a chaos lord and a Daemon prince in
the same army."

The Data-files are correct. See below.

I assume you mean Exalted Champion. He is a chaos lord.

This SOUNDS correct, but can't you take one of these guys AS your HQ choice?
Since "Their can be only one", doesn't that mean you can only have 1 HQ
choice?

No, but you cannot have:
- Two Deamon Princes'
- Two Warlords
- A Warlord and a Deamon Prince
You can have:
- A Deamon Prince and a Greater Deamon
- A Warlord and a Greater Deamon
- A Warlord and a Sorcerer Lord
- A Sorcerer Lord and a Greater Deamon

Re-read the "Their can be only one" rule. You must have 1 and only 1 Deamon
Prince or Chaos Lord. This is mandatory for a chaos army. You can still have
2 HQ's, but only 1 "General", you still have access to Sorcerors and Greater
Deamons (along with the non-lord special characters).

Your forgiven. ;) If this were Dark Angels, you'd be unforgiven...

I would suggest making sure you have your facts straight before pestering
Colen with "bugs". It's okay being a newbie, just ask a veteran first.

Problem is when people don't actually BUY the codex and rely on Armybuilder.
I can't tell you how many arguments I've gotten into over "Well, Armybuilder
said so..." Just because the Emperor's Champion says #Master Crafted Weapon
doesn't mean you can have the Sword be mastercrafted (because the codex says
specifically that it's the Bolt Pistol, but Army Builder doesn't specify).

Remember people, Army Builder is a tool to help you make army lists, easy
math. It is NOT a replacment for the rules.
