Changing the shoot skill to another skill

Is there a way to have another skill caltu. like the skill shoot does without have to use the replace ID. I was needing another skill to do what the shoot skill does for High-Space and I can't use the replace ID for it, because it is going to be an official release through the updater and I can't use that method.:eek:

What do you mean by"caltu"? At any rate, though, couldn't you just add your on skHSShoot skill and Preclude skShooting?

Oh, I see, because the weapons are built to use Shooting for what they show as the appropriate skill. Except when a weapon has a Group Weapon.Thrown associated with it (when it uses the Throwing skill instead.) Not sure if there is a way to use that mechanic to get it to recognize some other skill as well, though. Sorry I can't be more help there.

I have been trying to find what and where it uses it to see if I can write a mechanic to recognize a different skill, but haven't much luck.

Well I got it to work on my weapons - it was a pain and I'm sure there was an easier way, but I sure couldn't find it, so I did it the hard way. Now my weapons are showing the right die with the bonuses they are suppose to have. 1 step closer.

This is an issue when something like Shooting is involved, since it's used in so many places. Why does Shooting need to be replaced?
