Change the color of the background in Player Preview window

Hey. New to Realm Works, but I have worked through a lot of the tutorials I found online. Great product, but I am having trouble with one little thing, and am wondering if anyone might know a solution to it.

In the player preview (where I can send things to a second screen I have set up), all the images have a black background where there is an alpha layer (no color at all). Is there any way to change this color to a more white base color. The black makes some images hard to see (Drow, shadow demons, etc.) I attached an image of what I mean.

It may not be possible to change, but on the videos I saw, most everyone seems to have that standard cream looking color on there pictures.

Thanks.

Wow, quick replies on these boards. Thanks so much. That whole series by daplunk looks great. A lot more details than the tutorials they give you on the main site. Subscribed. I am looking forward to this community. :D

You can try to open the PDF in a graphics editor too like Adobe Elements/Photoshop and select images it will show all the images from the PDF and let you open just the image. Th PDF has to be an unlocked one. Doing this often will let you get the image with out having to do a clean up of the image like in the video. Also note that some images have a lot of transparency around it which can cause this.

Greenshot is great for taking screenshots of protected pdfs. It's free open source.

Having seen it used in daplunk's videos, I am a Greenshot convert. Super easy to use, populated the heck out of my mechanics reference with screengrabs. I endorse this message. :)

It just has more functionality that the windows one.

I like shareX. I talso allows quick upload to imgur and a lot of unecesary but nice stuff :)
You can get it on steam i think for free as well :)

The screen shot method often causes you to lose detail I noticed. I last night did a comparison as I was getting some problems with a cut and past of a PDF. When I opened up the PDF in Adobe Elements selected images and select the one I needed and saved as a jpg. my image file was 3 times bigger than what I could get with screenshot tools and the quality was better since it was the actual image in the actual image size. I also didn't need to do any clean up and just had to resize the image a little.

Yeah some companies lock the pdfs down though so that you cant do that unfortunately. The worst ones you can't even copy the text out. The screenshot method is always a last resort.

Until you load the PDF into a firefox browser with a PDF reader installed, and then the text can be copied out :-)

Cool trick. I tried it today with a few PDFs it worked for most. I had one that is unlocked and you still can't copy the text and select an image to copy, cause the author actually made each finished page an image which was then used to make the PDF to avoid someone cutting and pasting the text.

Also, I don't think any one mentioned the common thing of an image is used in the PDF but then text was added on top of the image. So if you select the image lets say menu or map you end up with blank menu or a map that is missing text and stuff on it.

Usually requires you to get the text and the image and combine them in a graphics program by making each a layer.
