Can't create templates?

I seem to be unable to create a new template in the editor. What happens is, when the template is open in the editor, if I try and scroll down the list of features, I immediately get a notice that Hero Lab has encountered a problem and needs to close. It tells me to check an error log, which has the following text:

C:\HeroLab\HeroLab.exe
3.0. 170
ACCESS VIOLATION
Address: 0x0055dc30
Type: bad read

I'm stumped as to what the problem is. Any advice would be appreciated!

I get the same error on weapons and races - it happens as soon as I scroll.

I'd say the error is in the editor, it's not handling long things types correctly.

Does this bug persist if you restart windows? Assuming this isn't some sort of sinister lurking bug, it's most likely to be caused by Windows running out of controls to allocate.

If it does keep happening, what size (in pixels) is your editor window? It might be a problem that only occurs at a specific size of editor.

It happens to me every time I use the HL editor to edit anything with a scroll bar(over two weeks, so I've restarted windows at least once in that).

I'm running the editor maximized on 1280x960 resolution.

I just checked - it does have something to do with size. I shrank my editor window to a floating window, opened a class, and successfully scrolled from top to bottom and back of the list of fields. I then maximized the window, and it crashed as soon as I scrolled.

Another test shows that it happens if the editor is wide enough to display the list of fields in two columns, but not tall enough that it all fits without a scrollbar.

Oh god, thank you. I have been struggling with this for a bit, and I love that the Alignment restictions are selectable instead of having to write the "script" in this latest update. Now when the next update gets done, I can look through and see if the Battle Dancer can be done.
