Can we view character portfolios on a Mac like we do on an iPad?

We just started using Hero Lab for Pathfinder and one of our members just bought a new Mac laptop. A few of us already use the HL iPad app and are very pleased with it. Our DM (me!) also loves that it works with the Combat Manager app.

Is there a version of Hero Lab that our laptop user can use to just view her character? She can't use the iPad app on her laptop.

Thank you!

I think the original poster was looking for a character viewer that ran on normal computers that is comparable to the Hero Lab for iPad app.

Which is a great idea!

And on our list of things we would like to have done.

Unfortunately, we haven't found the time to implement that project yet.

Please keep up the great suggestions!

I would very much like to add my 2 cp to this idea.

I have used Hero Lab as a GM, and have found it fantastic for building complex NPCs and generating stat blocks. However, I've started playing in a campaign and decided to us HL at the table, and frankly I'm finding it to be a bit of a pain in play.

I love having the ability to apply conditions very quickly and thoroughly, and keeping track of expendables is great. However, I am finding the amount of bouncing around between tabs a real pain. I would love a separate "Play" interface that would bring all the main stuff front and center - maybe with a "Combat" tab (initiative, equipped weapons with an easy way to make attack and/or damage rolls, Saves, etc) and "Out of Combat" tab (with Skills, Saves, and the like). Some other tabs like "Journal" and "Equipment" would probably be warranted.

Basically anything to streamline the process of running the character at the table would be most welcome.

Justin there is the Tactical Console. It does exactly what you want it to do for the most part. Hit control + T and it will bring up a separate window with the current portfolio. It handles initiative and brings up close quickly all that is needed to use a single .por.
