Can I change the default screen font size? AB 3.2a

Hi,

I'm running AB 3.2a on a laptop with a ridiculous (for my eyes) 1920x1200 resolution.

I desperately want to increase the default screen display font size.

Changing the Windows default font size does not seem to carry across to AB.

Is this possible? Please save my eyes and my neck :)

Thanks,

WJ.

The font size on the screen within AB is fixed. This has not changed in V3.2. One or two people asked about this a few years ago, but no one else commented on it since then. So we believed it to be an item that few users cared about and it didn't make the priority cut for what got included in V3.2. If there are lots of users out there for whom this is important, let us know so we can boost the priority of this change for the next update.

Thanks for the reply - And I hope a lot of people follow up and comment that this is a desired feature, as the font size really is a killer for me.

Yeah. The font size is a killer for me too. With the larger monitors and bigger resolutions that people have nowadays. 1900x1080 being the norm, not the exception.

Basically I can't use Armybuilder anymore, at all. Or, I could, if I stared at the monitor from two inches away and wouldn't mind the raging headache squinting brings.
And yes, I've got normal eyesight.

At least tell us where we can change it manually from the xml setting files for the time being. I'm not fond of paying a licence fee of a program I can't use.

We really don't want folks mucking about in the depths of the configuration files if we can help it. Given that a meaningful number of folks have complained about this issue in the past couple months, we've marked this as a high priority for us to address in the next update. If we can't address this in the next update (for some unexpected reason), then we'll resort to explaining how to change the configuration files. But that's more likely to cause problems due to users mucking with stuff they shouldn't, so that's a last resort.

Note: The next update for AB will include some bug fixes and a few minor feature additions. It should be out sometime next month.
