Calculating monstrous PCs XP

Hi, so I noticed in Herolab for pathfinder that the system does not recognize the advancement for PCs that are using a monstrous race.

It is calculating their hit-dice rather than their class level in terms of experience needed for character advancement.

Does anybody know if this was intentional by the development team, or perhaps a bug, or just something they don't intend to include in the program?

Are you referring to the section:

"For monsters with racial Hit Dice, the best way to allow monster PCs is to pick a CR and allow all of the players to make characters using monsters of that CR. Treat the monster’s CR as its total class levels and allow the characters to multiclass into the core classes. Do not advance such monsters by adding Hit Dice. Monster PCs should only advance through classes."

This says that the monster's CR is its total class levels, so this would imply the HD are factored into the XP calculation.

Except they aren't. The program is not treating a CR7 monstrous PC as a level 7 character, in most cases it's treating them as one higher. It's specifically calculating their hit dice instead of their CR for their character level.
