buying powers like the super powered companion

Is there any way to set up the arcane background to work like thee super powered companion or necessary evil where you buy the powers based on their cost, and the power points you have available?

It's quite different from the way normal arcane powers work, more and more licensed products are using that method.

Supporting the Necessary Evil method for purchasing powers will entail a fair amount of work. I simply don't have the bandwidth right now to get that done, so we're going to switch to a new Plan B, which I'll be posting about shortly.
