Bug Reports - Version 7.1

Not sure if this is a bug or not but in Pathfinder Society Scenario #3-24: The Golden Serpent it gives you a boon that allows a character with a Lawful Neutral Alignment to choose a Raktavarna. If you try to select this creature it gives you a warning that says you must be Lawful Evil.

Without creating a new .user file is there a way to remove this warning?

Unfortunately, HL doesn't support boons, so in a word, No. If you'd like to make such a user file, I'm sure you'd find help in a new thread.

Book: CORE
Issue: Two-Weapon fighting rules.

So I have found that dealing with two-handed weapons and special weapons, Barbazu Beard or Armor Spikes, that the two-weapon fighting rules are not being applied correctly.

Examples
1) First level fighter. 16 Str, 15 Dex. Feats: Exotic Weapon (Barbazu Beard) and Two-Weapon Fighting. When equipping the Beard (off-hand) and a Greatsword the Barbazu Beard is calculated correctly but the Greatsword attack bonus does NOT drop by two. So Beard should be +2H 1d4+1 and Greatsword should be +2H 2d6+4. But instead you can see it shows the greatsword as +4 to hit. I have included a picture also.

2) Armor Spikes should be able to be equipped with a Greatsword just like the Barbazu Beard. So first issue is that HL shows an error which it should not. Second it calcs the same incorrect value as above.

Thanks

Kapow! Another bug squashed.

I have a 10th level Dwarven Cleric with a Cleric Domain of caves. My Tunnel Runner ability says that I get a bonus to stealth equal to my cleric level and it can be used a number of minutes per day equal to my Cleric level. However, the Ability shows a +11 to Stealth and 11 minutes of use.

I can't reproduce this. I see +10 to Stealth and 10 minutes. But I did add some situationals!

Minor quibble (aren't they all, really?) Strong Jaw under the adjustment tab (which supposedly affects all natural attacks) isn't affecting a monk's unarmed strike (which is considered a natural attack for these purposes).

Fixed this earlier in the thread.

Also (no hurry on this or the previous, I suppose). There doesn't seem to be a way to cast Greater Magic Fang / Greater Magic Weapon and select the weapon/natural attack to be affected (you can choose the +1 to everything version of GMF though).

I don't see any issues with the selector. Seems to be selecting among weapons on the hero as proper.

My character recently received a Necklace of Fireballs as her share of the loot, when she equipped said necklace HL reported an error: Necklace of Fireballs: Too many neck items worn-Max 1 "Amulet of Natural Armor +1; Too many neck items worn-Max 1.
According to the CRB a Necklace of Fireballs is worn in the neck slot, but does not take up that slot.

Necklace of Fireballs
Aura moderate evocation; CL 10th
Slot neck (does not take up slot); Price 1,650 gp (type I), 2,700 gp
(type II), 4,350 gp (type III), 5,400 gp (type IV), 5,850 gp (type V),
8,100 gp (type VI), 8,700 gp (type VII); Weight 1 lb.

Allowing characters to wear a Neck slot item and a Necklace of Fireballs. I did a quick board search and found a report of this problem from 2009, which never received a reply. Is there anyway to get this error fixed so I can make the red go away?

This was fixed with the UE update.

Alright, I have modified the feat to take into account the possibility of other things adding extra levels. Have your class add Extra levels to the wild shape abilities before Pre-Levels 5000 and the feat should take them into account. Hope that helps.

I also made an adjustment that allows you to pick a class ability and add/subtract extra levels to it, in case that's convenient.

The trouble is, this (at least in certain cases) can't be done before Pre-Levels / 11000, as you have shown me in this thread

Mithral Agile Breastplate

When I apply Mithral Agile Breastplate, it still reduces the Climb check by one. Regular Agile Breastplate shows the expected 1 point reduction, but the Mithral version should have no impact on the wearer's climb skill.

I don't see any issues with the selector. Seems to be selecting among weapons on the hero as proper.

Thats not the problem:

Greater Magic Fang said:
This spell functions like magic fang, except that the enhancement bonus on attack and damage rolls is +1 per four caster levels (maximum +5). This bonus does not allow a natural weapon or unarmed strike to bypass damage reduction aside from magic.

Alternatively, you may imbue all of the creature's natural weapons with a +1 enhancement bonus (regardless of your caster level).

The problem is the bit in italics has been implemented, but the bit that has been bolded cannot be made to apply using the current version (there is no option to select it).

Or have I missed something again?

Their are two magic fang adjustments. One does ALL attacks at +1. The other one lets you select the Natural Attack and Select the amount of bonus to give it.

Hmm I can see the confusion could be the 2nd one does not say "Greater" magic fang. The normal Magic Fang adjustment looks like it was given the ability to increase the amount of bonus.

I am not 100% sure if you saying that the penalty should NOT be reduced an additional amount due to Mithral or not. The write up actually specifically says it does get affected by MW and Mithral. The end result for Mithral or MW Agile Breasplate for the Climb skill is zero.

The more interesting part is that is NOT what HL is currently doing. The skills are correct for non-custom Agile breastplate but not for Custom Breastplate. Put a custom non-masterwork Agile Breastplate on a 1st level fighter with 10 ability scores. The Climb skill is showing -4 to climb. Should be -1.

The other problem I am seeing here is the Situational mention of Jump skill under Acrobatics only list the -4 due to speed reduction to 20ft. Is the plan to put in another situational modifier giving a +3 bonus to Jump? Just wondering how that is going to work out is all as I assume it has not been done yet.

Ah thats were it is! Thanks ever so much.

HeroLab for Mac

If I purchase a new data package, the options from that package are not available for existing characters, but are available on new characters that I create.

Not seen the Mac version, but I suspect that if it's formatted the same as the PC version, go into Character > Configure Hero and tick the new data packages.

Ok, I have to re-report this, 3 times now my Paladin has lost his listing for Channeling. Im not sure what does it but if I recreate him with same options and gear it stays, for how long Im not sure.

It remains on the special tab but thats it, not on the in play tab or print outs. If you need a .por file let me know.

On another issue, i had a flat footed condition stuck on after selecting prone on one character. Weird thing was it was stuck for everyone in the portfolio. Only way i was able to fix it was to export everyone to another portfolio. Not sure why that worked but it did.

Is there a way to set a condition to everyone in portfolio that im not aware of that i may have accidently done?

Zen Archer (Monk) Ki Arrows

I have a monk character with the Zen Archer archetype. At 5th level, the Zen Archer gets the "Ki Arrows" feature:

INDENT]At 5th level, a zen archer may spend 1 point from his ki pool as a swift action to change the damage dice of arrows he shoots to that of his unarmed strikes. This lasts until the start of his next turn. For example, a Medium zen archer’s short bow normally deals 1d6 damage; using this ability, his arrows deal 1d8 damage until the start of his next turn. [/INDENT]

This ability doesn't show up in the In Play tab with the rest of the Ki powers, and I can't find it anywhere else to activate it.

(I didn't see a mention of this on the threads.)

Thanks,
Dorothy

I'm sorry for the ambiguity. I was trying to point out that if the character is wearing Mithral Agile Breastplate there shouldn't be an armor check penalty to climb at all. The Mithral attribute should set the penalty to 0 for climb.

I hadn't tried to use Custom non-masterwork agile breastplate. I'd always compared Mithral armor to the non-custom armor. Now I know this is the source of my problem. Since the *custom* armor doesn't implement the agile breastplate bonus to climb, the Mithral attribute can't completely remove the climb penalty.

Thanks!

+1 Ghost Touch arrows show an error of "Melee Weapon Required".

According to Ultimate Equipment p142, "This special ability can only be placed on melee weapons and ammunition."

A portfolio might be helpful.

I'm not aware of anything causing a condition to be stuck on. Was this the same character?

Did a quick search and didn't see this one. Tengu are proficient with the Aldori Dueling Sword, and so should be able to use Weapon Finesse with them but as far as I can tell HL is not giving them this ability.

Fixed
