Borrowed Weird Science Item....

So I believe a Weird Scientist can lend their items to other players...there is a section called "Borrowed Weird Science Items". But if I try and add an item it tells me that "Not suitable for characters arcane background". If I borrow an item I do not need the background. So a little confused about this.

I am using the Deadlands Reloaded file if that matters.

I'm not an expert, but it looks like the Helper.SkipPwrVal tag needs to be added to items gained from this mechanism.

Thanks for the reply..looking at the files in the editor I am unsure where to even try this? I see other data, like Flamethrower, the arcane ability but I do not see borrowed weapons? Is it in the Savage Worlds base?
 
It may just be that Hero Lab can't really handle the situation of a character with no AB and/or Power Points to track having a Power, even from a borrowed Gizmo. Those are just warning, though, so you can always just add the thing and ignore the warnings.
 
Huh...you are correct, even though every item on the list is greyed out I can still add it. I still have the error but I guess I can ignore that :)
