I've been trying for about a week to reach someone at WolfLair in
order to get an account set up so I can publish the new files. I've
been using the 'support' address. Figured I'd post here on the off-
chance that someone fomr WolfLair is watching here that might be
able to prod the right folks. ;-)

We've had a busy few weeks (we spent a week at Origins 2003, then 4th of
July weekend...), so unfortunately we've a bit of an email backlog to deal
with (the yahoo groups download problems didn't help). Generally we give a
reply within a few days, but we're a very small company, so please give us
some latitude when the occasional snowstorm hits. :)

Apologies to all who're waiting on replies from support (I know there's at
least one other of you); we'll do our best to get the issues resolved ASAP.

No worries then. Understood, and at least I know there's someone there. ;-)

That’s OK Colen. I understand the limitations. It’s just nice to know that
someone is listening.

So Steve, how do the new files look/work?

What's new and improved? Lizardmen, Khemri, Amazons...?

Are they uprades of the old files or created from the ground up?

Give us some teaser info man! Hype it up, 'cause it's (to me) the
biggest thing to happen to Army Builder! Woo-Hoo!

=)

It's got all the stuff for the living rulebook, plus the khemri and necromantic
teams from BBM #3. I'm currently adding the Vampiric team, as well as the
allied and alternate dwarven teams. Most of the changes from the previous
files versions were either cosmetic, or minor team composition changes.

Cool stuff Steve.

I've found that when using the AB Roster for my Blood Bowl team over
the course of a season, that I ran out of room in the NOTES section
of each player really quickly (I think it's only like 10 lines long).

Is there a way to expand these NOTES areas to hold more info?

Just wondering if that was something that could be adjusted or not.

Thanks,
-Kevin

It's not possible to make the notes area hold more info (that I know
of)... but one suggestion I have is to make a 'Notes' unit, which is
basically just a stat-less unit for people to hold notes in. You could
put an option in each unit/player that would add a Notes 'Unit' as a child
so that you can use to add more notes if you run out of room in the parent
unit.

I don't believe it can be resized at all, but what kind of notes are you
looking to keep there? I've added options for injuries, games missed,
niggling injuries, etc., so there shouldn't be any need for those in there.

Cool. I downloaded the new files. Works great, except it didn't
want to load all of my old version Roster (it didn't like the
goblins and head coach units). Oh well, I can re-enter them easily
enough. Thanks again Steve (Mr. Bugman to me).

As for the notes, I think my best bet is to just keep a seperate
text document. I might try Mr Green's idea, but I think it might
clutter up the roster too much. The extra notes I use are just the
details of the games we've played in our league. Who caught what,
who killed who, was there a Riot during the game?, how big was the
Gate, etc. Just fun little details to give my team a little more
heart and life, some of which are not directly represented or
effecting the actual stats or game play.

-Kevin
