Applying Damage Reduction

Hi everyone!

I´m a noob that needs some help here, please.

I´ve just created my first character (an npc barbarian) and I have already found myself lost. The thing is this:

The barbarian character I´ve created has some DR (3/-) if I remember correctly but when I apply damage in the tactical console or in the in-play tab it takes the full amount of damage.

Perhaps the program doesn´t take care of DR automatically but it´s hard to believe that It doesn´t even remember you that the character has some DR so you can apply it if needed.

Thank you for any help or tip.

HL wont remove the DR automaticaly for you. you would ned to do that manually before you enter the damage for the character. It wouldnt matter if you enter the damage into the Tactical Console or directly to the character.

HL does it this way because it cant account for all the possibilities that could results in damage.

Right, there's no way currently to specify the source/type of the damage, so we can't tell whether it should be reduced by DR. We leave it up to the user to remember to reduce damage.

It´s a shame. I mean, I understand that the soft doesn´t know what type of damage the character is suffering but a reminder would be so useful!

PCs will probably remember their own DRs but it may be easy for a GM to forget the DR´s for his NPCs and monsters...

sigh.

Thanks anyway!!
