I'm looking for a simple program to autocalculate and autoformat monster statblocks for a bestiary book I am writing. Hero Lab seems like it fits my needs, but the demo doesn't provide any idea of how the monster maker works and costs $60 friggin dollars just to test if the monster maker even works and I can't get a refund if I don't like it.
For the record, 99% percent of Hero Lab is useless to me. I don't want a database of classes, abilities, monsters, or whatever. I just want a simple program that autocalculates monster statistics and autoformats it into a neat statblock.
Is there anyway to get the monster maker separately from Hero Lab and all the dross it includes to inflate the price?
