AncientOne's Custom Pathfinder Sheet

PDF Sheet for a Pathfinder Army

Has anyone considered adding an enhancement to allow the printing and saving of a PDF for an army block like you would find in a pathfinder module. I'm creating the armies for my players and their opponents but found out I couldn't print them.

I don't have the least clue on how to even start doing something like that.

Thank you for a great sheet, AncientOne. It is amazing.

However, I now get the grey screen of death :( I just updated HeroLab to V6.1a and the grey screen just started showing up.

Here's the xml file for the portfolio. This happens in any browser, Win8.1

Hi WarDawg. All I can give you right now is the unhelpful answer that HL has changed something fundamental about the XML they're generating in 6.1a. I've run a few tests with different characters, and all of them are failing. One of the libraries my sheet depends on is now reporting that the XML is invalid, but I don't yet know the specific problem.

I can't give you an ETA on when I'll have a fix, mostly because I don't have much time to look into this at the moment. :(

I also updated my HL yesterday and now I am getting the grey screen. :( Guess Ill have to find a different one to use for today's game.

If you go to "C:\Program Data\HeroLab\download" the installer for the last version of Hero Lab (6.0 or 6.1) may still be there. Install the old version and see if the sheets work again.

I thought the most recent release included a fix for the "nothing but a grey screen" thing. As far as I know, the current annoying output bug everyone is submitting has to do with the "x" in crit multipliers outputting in a funky way. Are you certain you have the most recent release of both HL/Pathfinder and the sheet?

Ahhh, look at that. I just assumed (and we all know what that does) since there wasn't anything posted, it never was fixed. Awesome, thanks.

I'm having an issue with printing (my 1st ever with this sheet).

The printout is *everything* in the HTML file, including the console that allows us to edit the sheet, colour code it, etc. This has the effect of reducing everything in size to be an unreadable size.

I believe that it is being cause by the garbage string of characters that is generated at the very bottom of the sheet. Any ideas as to what could be causing the garbage to be generated?

Problem with Critical Hit information for weapons, animal companion attacks, etc.

I just noticed that the critical hit information for weapons and for attacks of animal companions is messed up. If you look at the critical information in the attached .pdf (it's a paladin, with no animal companion, but the animal companion of, say a druid, has the same problem) you will see that the information is a bit messed (extra characters or something.)

OK I have a odd one. I still get the grey screen using the sheet, but only on one character.

Now the normal output from HL works. I have reloaded HL with the latest installer and then did all the updates to HL.

I spent some time and rebuilt the character from the ground up, thinking that the profile was corrupted. After rebuilding the character still getting the grey screen.

Any ideas?

Thanks

It has done this for me if I put too much information in the the Background Details box on the Personal tab

Wish this was the case. I thinking it may have something to do with the my custom files I have. Problem is when I removed them the last time it had no effect.

May recreate the character again and go level by level to see if it has something to do with the characters level and being mythic. Very annoying.

I'm getting an error where the critical field shows "×2" instead of the critical value. I get a similar error in some description text when it should be showing an apostrophe. I've completely re-installed Hero Lab and updates, but I'm still getting this issue. I've also tried viewing in different browsers, but to no avail.

I am getting the same error, anybody else? Using Windows 8.1

Looking at the sheet in Firefox, if I set Character Encoding to Western it shows the ×2 in the field, but if I set Character Encoding to Unicode it shows the expected x2.

I have a half-orc ranger, who wields an orc double axe. When I choose "Always Print 2-Weapon Attacks", it doesn't. I get one of two errors:

1. If I have the weapon equipped in BOTH hands, or if I have it equipped as double, I get a message that says, "Equipped in Hero Lab (cannot calculate two-weapon values)

2. If I don't have it equipped at all, I get a message in the weapon box that says, "unknown handedness, no two-weapon fighting values available"

I want to display on the character sheet BOTH, so if I use it 2 handed, or if I use it as a double-weapon, I have both values there. The only workaround I have found is to add the item TWICE to my character (thus showing up twice on my inventory, which means carrying twice the weight, etc.)

Thoughts?

Click the little "bag" icon on the 2nd weapon. Then say "Drop to Ground". Boom no more weight on your character. :)

Oh, true - I didn't even think of that. What I did instead was to just edit the weapon entry on the sheet through the sheet controls, and inserted the attack bonus and damages for using it as a double-weapon. That worked, too.
