Alternate save location for user files

I have Hero lab on both my lap top and desktop and like to be able to work on characters on both. I was able to successfully set up my network drive and have both programs automatically save the profiles on it, how ever is there a way to do the same thing with the user files that have custom items for said portfolios? If so how do I set it up?
