Since you can choose to be ethier good or evil while making your list, the allies options changes.

an Example would be playing Evil Elves that Alley with Mordor. This ability needs to be added to the AB file.
 
you can only ally with the same faction.you can't have evil elves.Good guys side with good. Bad guys side with bad. They are very clear on that.
