All my portfolios are gone!

Just logged into Hero Lab today, after a one week absence and all my portfolios are gone! Holy crap!
What would cause Hero Lab to wipe the entire Portfolio directory out?

Was there an update that went afoul? Help!

Are you sure it was Hero Lab? Are the Hero Lab Portfolios the only files you're missing? Are you sure you're looking in the proper folders? Are you sure you didn't somehow accidentally move them or delete them? Does anyone else have access to your computer?

These questions aren't meant to be insulting or disrespectful, but with years (I'm not saying how many) of experience with working in IT, whenever someone says "My files are missing!", the answer is almost always found by going through that list of questions.

Another possibility is that you might have some kind of malware, a virus or trojan or something.
