Alignment ampoules

I'm interested in taking Alignment ampoules for my Alchemist and I've found them in the GM Aproval section but not in the section that I can add them to formular book. Am I missing something or do I need to send in a bug report?

Which specific table are you using to add them to your formula book? There are a lot of options, and many of them have limits on what can be added to that table.

What tab are you trying to add it on? What is the table you are using called? For example, if I go to the "Crafting Formulas" table in the Equipment section, and scroll down to "Alchemical Items", I can find the alignment ampoule formulas to add there.

If it's Pathfinder Society, you may have to change the filtering as these aren't legal in Society play without a boon. Make sure you've selected Hide Nothing or Hide Errors at the top of the list.

I was trying to add it to the list of formulas under the Alchemist tab and I was under the impression that having the boon equals GM aproval.

As I said, I can add alignment ampoules on the formula table, so I still don't understand what the issue is. So I don't know yet whether it's a bug, or a mis-understanding of how Hero Lab is supposed to work.

The GM approval table identifies errors that you have exceptions for. I don't believe it removes the warning that something requires a boon.

If your filter is hiding warnings, you won't see the alignment ampoule as an alchemist. If you don't have the necessary proficiency, it will be an error and you won't see it if you're filtering anything.

I have found the ampoules under the Magic & Alchemical Items tab but I can't find it under the Alchemist Formulas tab and I have selected "Hide nothing" and "Hide if GM approval needed" is deselected.

I don't think there is an Alchemical Formulas tab. If you're talking about the Alchemical Formulas table under the Alchemist tab, I think that is for adding formulas you get for free as part of your class—which must be common. You'll never find it there because it's an uncommon formula.

You need to go to the Crafting Formulas tab under the Equipment group for additional formulas you want to purchase.

Oh ok thanks for that. Now to work out why it's still showing up blue when I flaged them as GM Aproved.

GM approval doesn't seem to affect PFS characters. It's only applicable to home games, from what I've seen.

Alignment Ampoule generates two warnings when assigned to a PFS character: one for being Uncommon and one for being PFS Limited. The GM Approval list suppresses Rarity-based warnings, but not the PFS specific Limited warnings. You can still suppress the various Limited warnings individually or just ignore them.

I don't know what the developers' intent is for the "PFS Approval" list, but you should probably report "Approval doesn't suppress PFS Limited warnings" as a bug and see what they think.
