advancement method to combine skills into group.

If you want to purchase skills with skill points and treat them as Skill Group points, I recommend adding a couple of Permanent adjustments: Skill Points and Skill Group Points. Then, for every additional Skill Rank you purchase for a given group (does not stack with your Actual Skill Group points, so be sure to put them in separately), Add 1 Skill Group point and remove 3 Skill Points. This can be used for every skill group but the 2 with 4 (Biotech and Engineering.). For them, you would need to remove 4 skill group points.
Had the same issue in the end I deleted all the skills, added skill groups to the level I had them and then added karma to get back to 0 to spend (no overspent) and then purchased new ranks in skill group X. I currently have about 11 unspent character creation skill points from deleting those groups. Really hoping they can figure out a fix for this as its a fiddly way to do something that's part of the rules.
