Advanced Race Guide

I wanted to provide everyone with an update on the ARG.

At this point, we have finished coding all the individual races. We're in the process of testing right now. Additionally, we believe the race builder will be included in the initial release; it's almost done, so it is looking good, barring any unexpected issues during testing.

We will release the add-on as soon as testing is concluded. We hope it will be out Sunday, but it is possible that it could take us until Tuesday to wrap our testing. We'll continue to provide updates if things take an unexpected turn.

Additionally, there was a question about how much our ARG add-on will cost. It will cost $9.99.
Great news! Thanks for all the hard work!

I would actually be in favor of a single document posted somewhere that plainly stated what hasn't been implemented fully.

We've added this to our task list, so you should see something along these lines later this summer. Given the crunch we're in leading up to GenCon (ARG, UE, etc.), it probably won't appear until after we return and get caught up on things. But we'll get something posted and linked to for everyone to reference.

Um. This is still the Internet, isn't it? I also agree that more documentation is good ... but there will still be complaints. There will always be complaints.
Have to agree I see the next issue being the complaint that its not in a obvious place to inform the purchaser before buying...

So how did the testing go? Any chance we will see this today?

Looks like its out!

Just bought it, having trouble re activating my license to use it. But it purchasable.

:)

I have the PFRPG_ARG_RaceBuilder that was put out for the beta rules of the ARG. Does it have to be removed or unchecked when buying the Advanced Race Guide update package?

I believe we tested to make sure there wouldn't be any errors if you have both, but that content was built for the beta version of a mechanic whose final version is now in Hero Lab.

I can confirm we did test for conflicts with that. I even had to change one of our tag group names to avoid a conflict.

Fiend! You may escape Justice in this life, but there shall be no mercy in the world to come!

Shall we hop on our nightmare pegasus steeds and chase this foul villain into the depths of Hades where he may face the wrath of Kratos?

Looks like "Fly" is coded wrong.

I found an error in the race editor. Hero Lab does not properly set fly modifier that is appropriate to maneuverability that the race has.

When you are creating a race with fly, you use the advanced movement trait "Fly" which costs 4 RP. This gives one a fly speed of 30, and clumsy maneuverability. To increase ones maneuverability, you spend 2 RP per grade. Clumsy, as per the Fly skill check description, gives a -8 to Fly checks.

Hero Lab seems to start the Fly at Poor and not clumsy. It starts with a -4 and each RP 2 bonus to increase the grade up from there. The size bonuses seem to be correctly applied, but the maneuverability bonuses are not.
