Adding new skill as a Class skill for some classes

Lord Magus

Well-known member
I need to add a newly created skill as a class skill, but only for some of the existing classes, not all of them. How would I go about doing this?

Thanks!

That concept was removed in the Pathfinder main rules (as opposed to d20), so I'm afraid it was removed from the files as well. In terms of coding the Pathfinder files, it's so much nicer not having to worry about what skill points came from what classes.

I don't think there is a way that tracking skill point usage by class could be re-introduced to the Pathfinder files.

I think he is asking more, if I create a new skill called 'skSeduction' and I want 'skSeduction' to be a class skill (so get the +3 class skill bonus) for Bards, Rogues, and Paladins, but not for any other class, how do I do that.

I can't answer the question, but I think that is what he is asking.

I think for that, you would jusy create the new skil using the skill tab, and it should show up in the skills list for defining class skills. but i might be a bit off on this, i havent tried it yet to see.

Sorry, I was reading more into the question than he was asking. chiefweasel is correct - create the skill, and it will now be on the "Class Skills" list for all classes. So, make replacement copies for the classes for whom this is now a class skill.

(Easier fix than making replacement copies, but one you have to remember to apply to each character; on the Personal tab, at the bottom, is the Permanent adjustments table - add the Class Skill adjustment to any character who qualifies to get this skill as a class skill, and choose your new skill as the selection).

That's what I was thinking... I was just hoping there was some sort of bootstrap that would allow me to avoid that. I guess I will use the second (individual) option. Thanks!
