Adding new paladin mercies to be selected

Blauu

New member
Hello everyone, I'm a long-time Hero Lab user for the Pathfinder system but I've very rarely had to handle custom content. Right now I am looking to add a new mercy to the paladin class, specifically at the levels 9 and 12.

Can anyone tell me if this is possible and if so how to accomplish it?
Ideally through a step by step explanation, but if that is too much to ask I will take any advice or instruction the denizens of this forum are willing to offer.

Paladin Mercies are custom special abilities. The quickest way to create a new Mercy is to copy an existing one. Create a new file in the editor (so that it doesn't get over-written when you download updates), and navigate to the Class -> Custom Ability tab. Select "New (Copy)" in the lower left, then in the search bar at the top of the new window type "Mercy (b". This will bring up the Paladin Mercy Blinded. This will automatically provide the proper tags for allowing a Paladin to select your new Mercy. All you need to do now is provide a new name, description and a unique thingid. Then save, compile* and you should be all set.

*If you have the debug tools enabled, you can compile with "CTRL-R" in the portfolio. If not, simply re-load the Pathfinder data set. If you get any errors, let us know.
