Adding Magic Item Compendium Crystals...

Tashtego

Any suggestions on how to add the enhancement crystals from the Magic Item Compendium into HL? These are crystals you can clip onto weapons and armour, granting a bonus. I've done it a couple of ways:

*Editing the item's description
*Adding it as an Item Power (alas, it wanted to raise the level of the weapon by +1 when I tried that).
*Adding it as a magic facility of the armour/weapon. I tried that, but since I have a crystal clipped to masterwork full plate, HL wanted me to make the weapon +1 before adding the magical bonus.

If you were adding it as a magic item power, couldn't you just specify a
gold price (since I assume the crystal is worth gold) instead of a
"bonus" price? That should allow you to add it without it counting as a
+1 equivalent weapon or anything.

I'm not sure what you mean by "adding it as a magic facility" - could
you clarify?

Hi Colen. I scrapped my data file and made the items again as two item powers worth 2000 and 2500 respectively. I then went back to HL and tried to add the power to my existing weapons and armour. I then clicked 'set' to pay for the item and got an error message: 'Attempt to access transaction pick from script where no transaction context exists.' Any ideas what this means?

Oops! That button is only meant to appear when you're first buying the
item. We currently don't support adding to the cost of the item after
you buy it, so the Set button should vanish.

I'll add this to the bug list... thanks!
