adding Feats for Dark Sun, need a pre-req to verify ability score requirement

Can you think of any feats that require a specific class special? Then you could look them up and see how they do their prereqs.

Also, if the only reason to make this an ability is so that you can make a prereq for it, go back to Lawful_g's last post, and follow his hint - he was leading you towards how to set up a prereq for the archetype itself.

(Answers: Extra Ki, Extra Lay on Hands, Extra Rage)

Hmmmm I may end up going with these hints. The Arcane Defilement is looking to be more of a feat since it is an option for Preservers. Preserves can defile by choice, but risk becoming tainted in doing so, Defilers are beyond redemption though since they have embraced the destructive aspect of magic fully.

Have a look at the configurable tab in the editor. I used that to create a number of special abilities that could then be selected by the user for a particular race. Each special ability bootstrapped a number of things that only appeared on the character once the selection was applied!

You could create the Defiler or Preserver special ability that could be selected once at character creation which then applied the relevant arcane modifiers.

This then gets around the number of feats allocated conundrum too!
