Adding an Alignment

David Smith

Is it possible to add an alignment, such as true good or Lawful Neutral Good, to the alignment selections. I am needing this option for gods and have not been able to figure out if it is possible.

As far as I know you can't add any new Alignments as its too integrated to the rules of Pathfinder. What you could do is use a script to change an alignments "Live Name" but you would still have to use one of the existing alignments.

I'm not sure what "True Good" refers to, but if you wanted a particular god to have both Lawful and Neutral for their Law/Chaos axis, you could always try adding both tags to the god. It might not look nice, but I think it'd still be mechanically correct (in terms of which clerics can worship it and whatnot).

I used sorta an old school concept of the gods of the outer planes. For example, gods that reside on the plane of Arcadia (A lawful neutral and lawful good plane) have dual aspects that are both LN and LG. I know that may sound odd but I only do that for gods, not for PC's. That is why I was wondering if it was possible to add more alignments.

As for the True Good, I used transitive planes. The River Oceanus is a transitive plane that connects all of the upper planes of good. It has an alignment of True Good.

I hope that answered the question.

Thanks,
David
