Adding a mount runs into problems

Hi all,

I tried to find a similar thread, but did not succeed. So I created this one.

I run into the following problem and need help:

- I add a mount (e.g. a pony or light horse) to my character (in the tab "other")
- I switch to this mount, now the first tab says "Minion"
- The minion's race is set fixed to "No Race"
- I must select a class for my pony
- I see an error message, that I "must pick a race for my character". I would love to, but I can't, because it is fixed on "No Race"

Now I wonder:
- Why is my mount a minion without a race?
- Why do I have to choose a class for my mount?
- What did I miss?

Could someone enlighten me? What am I doing wrong? Is it a HL bug or a bug in the data files?

Thank you in advance.

Dornan

Check the settings on the master (because the minion inherits those settings), and in the Bestiary section, make sure that either "Bestiary" or "Bestiary Free content" is turned on.

The issue you're describing happens when you don't have the book that the race comes from turned on. So for example, if you were adding a camel, you'd need bestiary 2 to get its stats.

Check that the character which is adding the minion has enabled the source the minions race comes from. Minions inherit their configuration settings from their master. For example, the Pony race is from Bestiary 1 and Bestiary Free Content, so turn on one of those.
