A first file question for Pathfinder

In my gaming groups pathfinder game, we have 3 GM's house rules in our first file With the heading "House Rules" (John's house Rules, Mike House Rules, and Mark's House Rules) they all show up in the configure your hero window under the heading above. Now my question is, I would like to set them up that if one of them is chosen the other 2 will grey out and not be allowed to be checked, just like when you pick the different hit point options - If you pick the average hit point option the full hit point option greys out. Is this an option I can put into the first file or is this just for the herolab program and can't be done. If it can be done how would I set it up. thanks for any help.

I'd say use the Duplicate Game System option in the tools menu, so that each campaign is completely separated from the others, and the defaults in each of the duplicate copies always have that GM's house rules turned on.

Well I was also wanting to do it in with a couple of rules we use to instead of having several Duplicate Game Systems.. So I was wanting to know if there is a way to do it, like the optional hit points and how to do it.

Does any one have an answer to this other then making a Duplicate Game System, I know how to do that and didn't want to have to do it that way. I have to many Duplicate Game Systems already. Is this at all possible to do or is it an ingrained mechanic that we can't use. If I can do it how would I go about getting it done. Please any help is appreciated with this problem.

Ok how does the hit point option work and maybe I can do it that way - because they have it setup that if you pick half hit points - the full hit point option greys out, we have then all grouped in the same first file already and if we can't do it that way if we put them under the same source then have options like the above - how would I do it then or like I said is that something special Lone Wolf set up for themselves and users can't do what they did at all.I'm also working on some rules that is either one or the other Just like the hit point option and that's mainly why I'm trying to find a way to do it like the hit point option.

I don't actually know how to do this. My only way of figuring it out would be to search the wiki or tear apart the Savage Worlds game system as the all the files including structural files are present.

Its one of the ways I have figured things out. Its very possible this is something that can't be done by us (ie users) as it requires structural access. Honestly though I have not had the need so I have not looked into it. I know how to gray out an option but its grayed out ALL the time not linked to another option.

Source Element link from the wiki. My guess, as I have no access to HL to try, is that the maxchoices or minchoices is what your looking for. Never tried these so have no examples to currently point you too. My advice is to simply try and see what happens. Of course when playing with .1st files make sure you have a backup copy or something as I have done stuff that prevents HL from loading when playing with the file. :D

Yea I have it were it's greyed out all the time - lol that's easy, I have a couple things in my pathfinder game and a few things in other game systems if I can figure this out - I hope I can - I will try the wiki again , I just have a hard time rapping my head around the wording in it.

I don't understand what you're asking here. What are you trying to do with Hit points?

Nothing with the hit points - I was using the hit point option in the configure your hero as an example - ( this is how the hit option that you guys at lone Wolf set up - you have the choice of picking either full hit points per level or average hit points per level after the first level - If you check 1 option the other is greyed out in the configure your hero window. I was wanting to set up a couple of my options which are in the same 1st file to work like the hit point option does . If you check one the other greys out. Is there a way to do it or was it just set up like that for you guys at lone Wolf. That's all I was asking and if there was a way to set that up to work in the configure your hero window.

Thanks ShadowChemosh - that link you sent me to was what I needed. I got what I needed to work perfectly. So thanks again for your help.

Yes all I had to do was put "maxchoices="1" in my 1st File in my Parent source and it worked like a charm. That way my players are only able to pick 1 option and the others grey out. So thanks again for all the help.
