7th Edition Dark Elves 2.9 Beta!

Is it just me or did some of the special characters like Malus Darkblade become only a hero instead of a hero and a lord choice? i know there is a lot of work but are the point values being changed in the next version for AB?
 
Yes, Malus became a Hero only and his stats were reduced a bit as well. Kouran and Tullaris became unit upgrades, Malekith uses fewer Lord/Hero slots, etc.

Point values are correct.
 
as of version 2.4

Black Arc Corsairs - Should Default to extra hand weapon.

War Hydra's breathweapon does not show up onthe special rules tab.

Cauldron of blood does not show khainite special rule.

Good work on the improvements though.

use winrar to unpack the .rar file. then double click on the file it contained. It will come up with a message box asking to import the data files that make the dark elves available for you.
 
Looking at v2.4, I reviewed all the Core, Special, Rare, Gifts of Khaine, and Magic Standards rules on pages 94-103. Here is what I found minus the bugs already reported:


Rending Stars range should be 12", not 8"

Hag should have poison attack

Adding Tullaris to a unit of Executioners costs 190 points, but should only cost 95. The option pane shows the correct price, but it calculates wrong.

Cosmetic:

Adding a Draich-master or Tullaris does not decrement Executioner count.

Adding a Tower Master or Kouran does not decrement Black Guard count.

Remove Hate High Elves from Dark Rider


I will try to get to the Lords, Heroes, and the rest of the Magic Items tomorrow.
 
2.4 Heroes:

Shadowblade needs Always strikes first rule.

Attendants for the Cauldron of Blood should be Hags, not Witch Elves, because Hags have 2/4 attacks.

Fixes:
1. Black Lotus is 20 points not 15.
2. Fixed Corsairs magic banner issues.
3. Added Khainite to Cauldron.
4. Added the Hydra's Fiery breath to the Special's section for uniformity.
5. A few Typos fixed.
6. Corrected Black Amulet's description.
7. Hydra's teeth range 12" added.
8. Cauldron needed Khainite and changed the names of attendants to Hags.
9. Rending Stars Range 12"
10. Tullaris was double charging points.
11. Removed "Hate High Elves" from Dark Riders.
12. Added Poison attacks to Hags.
13. added ASF to Shadowblade.
14. Fixed Cauldron's Unit Strength and Stats.

Issues:
1. General options based on leadership is built into AB. For some reason its only checking the results if you pick a 2nd General. Looking into this.
2. Executioners and Black Guard still add an extra troop when unit commands are taken. Nothing seems to fix/stop that!
 
Noticed this yesterday on 2.4 and it's not listed as a fis in 2.5. Assassins are showing that they can take up to 75 points of gifts or khain but should only be allowed 50 points. They are correctly flagging as going over if they go past 50 so it should be in the points shown line. Hope that helps.

Then they are incorrectly flagging as having taken too many points above 50. I knew it was one of the two but couldn't remember which. All I remember, and mind you I'm at work so I can't verify numbers right now, is that I gave my assassin the Hand of Khaine and Manbane, then when I tried to give him the Rune of Khaine it flagged as too many points on Gifts for him.

Hope it helps. I can look at it closer when I get off.

I am working with 2.5 now, and I tried that combo and a few others totaling between 50-75 and they all worked, so it may have been worked out. It also flags correctly over 75. Feel free to test it when you get home.
 
The new rule book showed him having 3 wounds yesterday when I checked. I don't have it with me now, but it should be on page 95 or 93 as well.

He is covered on pages 70 and 97. He has 1 wound and 3 attacks.

Really, I'm not trying to be a jerk. Just digging through the file to find as many problems as possible before it becomes "official".
Files don't seem to get updated much once they hit the "official" updates section.
 
No, I'm being the jerk. You are right he is only 1 wound and I missed it yesterday. Thanks for checking the print out, I have not had time to do that yet.
 
Updated next build to make Kouran have a single Wound.

the Gift of Khaine issues.....maybe you had the old version open by mistake as I think the old assassins were limited to 50 points?

Thanks for the help!! Hopefully we will have it ready for an official release soon!
