Purchased 5e and cannot load the update file. Tells me I need a newer version.

Check the updates.

You have to update HL and the 5e in the "Find Updates". It there and working!

Yes it's working now. They put the 5e up before they put out the updated hero labs file. All is good now

Downloaded, testing it out. Sadly, there is a lot of stuff missing. Humans don't have the optional feat+skill racial bonus, seems like a lot of spells missing, Warlocks only have the Fiend patron available...

I guess it's fan support time?

I hope so...with what's in there now I am in the very unexpected position of having to admit that right now Fantasy Grounds is a better character management tool for 5e than Herolab. We created characters using the books, not the SRD. As it currently stands it's unusable for us.

The Hero Lab iPad app is available as a free download on the Apple app store, and has been updated to support 5th Edition. More information can be found here.

When wearing chain mail, negative Dex modifier of my hero affects Armor Class. Chain mail is heavy armor, thus Dex modifier should not be applied, neither negative nor positive. Positive modifier is not added, which is fine.

Personally, I'm glad I looked at it in preview mode before I spent money on it. The SRD version won't even allow me to make my mountain dwarf soldier fighter without entering most of the info myself.

There are excel files (that are portable) that are more useful to me right now that are free.

- The stuff I did for the Thule campaign setting for Hero Lab (I am pretty sure the
authors won't mind, but I'll ask them, in the case...). Don't have the stuff from
Thule Player Companion in yet, though, only the stuff from the Basic Thule Campaign
Setting.

Did you hear back from Sasquatch about this? I would love Thule support for Hero Lab.
