Hi, I bought this software at Gen Con and I've been looking it over for a bit now, and I have a couple questions.

In the editor, I was wondering if anyone knew how to modify in HL to where armor bonuses (standard and magical) can go above 8 (to say like 10 or 12 or higher) in the defence bonus drop down. I'm playing in an epic campaign, and this option is necessary for our characters.

Also, I created a custom class, and based it off of the standard fighter class, because the BAB was the same, but I would like to adjust the saving throws per level because they do not match the fighter class (or perhaps any other classes out there). Any suggestions in how to do this mod would be very appreicated.

Thanks in advance!

When you're selecting the armor bonus, there should be a "New Tag"
option at the top. Choose that, then enter the armor value as the tag
id. (For example, to make a set of armor that gives +15 to AC, you would
select New Tag then enter 15.)

On the class tab of the editor, you should be able to change the
Fortitude, Reflex and Will saving throws between Good or Poor. Does that
solve your problem? If not, what saving throw progression does the class
use?

Yeah, I tried that.

The progression is as follows:

..........Fort......Ref....Will
lvl 1:.....+2.....+2.....+1
lvl 2:.....+3.....+3.....+2
lvl 3:.....+3.....+3.....+2
lvl 4:.....+4.....+4.....+2
lvl 5:.....+4.....+4.....+3
lvl 6:.....+5.....+5.....+3
lvl 7:.....+5.....+5.....+4
lvl 8:.....+6.....+6.....+4
lvl 9:.....+6.....+6.....+4
lvl 10:...+7.....+7.....+5
lvl 11:...+7.....+7.....+5
lvl 12:...+8.....+8.....+6
lvl 13:...+8.....+8.....+6
lvl 14:...+9.....+9.....+6
lvl 15:...+9.....+9.....+7
lvl 16:...+10...+10...+7
lvl 17:...+10...+10...+8
lvl 18:...+11...+11...+8
lvl 19:...+11...+11...+8
lvl 20:...+12...+12...+9

Thanks Colen!

Interesting, so the Will save progression is half-way between the "Good"
and the "Poor" progressions... which sourcebook is this from?

For now, you can write a script to add to the saving throw appropriately
(you should be able to find details in the editor documentation). I
should be able to add the new save progression to Hero Lab, though.

It's actually the Jedi Guardian Class from d20 Star Wars, Revised.

I'm trying to convert over what I can.

But until I get used to this software, I may find a few snags. Thanks for the help Colen!

We've had one other request for the "Medium" save progression, so I
think it should be possible to get that added next release. Keep an eye
out for it

Now on the other question... In the editor, I was wondering if anyone knew how to modify in HL to where armor bonuses (standard and magical) can go above 8 (to say like 10 or 12 or higher) in the defence bonus drop down.

Is this possible?

Thanks!

It's trivial to add something higher. For your magic armor entry, display the list of options for the armor bonus. At the top of the list, you'll see a "New Tag" option. Select that. You'll be prompted to specify the new tag to create and use. Simply enter a unique id of "12" (or "42", or whatever you want) and save the tag. The new value will be used as the armor bonus for that equipment, plus the new value will thereafter appear in the list as a valid option.
