I understand that the realm "market" is still in the works; however, I have yet to see these questions answered:
1: Ownership and authorship are always tricky in cloud or SaaS environments. Given that Lone Wolf understands the mechanisms and software to what degree is user-authored content protected and recognized as owned by its creator, absent any potential licensing/ownership conflicts within that content? Example: I upload content into Realm Works, designing relationships and implementing solutions based on Realm Work's functionality. Do I own those relationships and the implementation absent the software and mechanism components themselves? In other words, if I make an adventure module and link it in Realm Works, do I own my work, assuming that I haven't stolen that work from someone else? 2: Do what degree can Realm Works staff access my content? 3: Is content on the web encrypted to prevent theft\hacking? If so, to what degree? 4: Does Realm Works intend to implement a preview mode for content owners to share their material with other owners of Realm Works? Perhaps for feedback or screening data for potential purchase? I recognize the sticky legalities, especially in point 1. If a content author claims to own content but is really stealing from another source, it could be beholden to Realm Works to remove it (similar to YouTube). I'm sure we all want a healthy, plagiarism-free environment and I look forward to your answers. |
