What changes/enhancements would you like to see?

One big change in the latest version (v1.3) of the core Savage Pathfinder is to revert to languages as a "have it or not" thing instead of a skill.

So we if this is the way things will be going, we will need an optional configuration on the SWADE rules to allow for that kind of a thing in settings...

Would it be possible to get an additional chooser added to adjustments? I'd like to be able to select a weapon/item (much like current adjWeapon) and apply a Tag to it (where the tag would be determined by a candidate expression.

As an example: I'd like to be able to choose my Knife, select Weapon.HeavyWpn from the Weapon.? tags, and apply that chosen tag to the Knife.

Those tag additions are not made from the Player level, they are done from the Editor level.

Another option might be the Modifications from the Sci-Fi Companion. You could make a custom Modification that added Heavy Weapon, and add it that way from the player level.

Can alwaysupdate="yes" be added to the portals on the Basics tab and the Summary Basics tab (tab_basics.dat and the summ_basics.dat) (or at least to the bmStatus and smStatus portals)?

I have a new resource am looking at for the SWADE Savage Rifts that should only show up in certain condidtions. But, without alwaysupdate="yes" set for the portals, it only shows/hides when the dataset is reloaded with the condition in place (a resource with the Helper.Status tag added or deleted)

I just noticed that both the Quick and Level-Headed Edges require the Hesitant Drawback for some reason. It should be you can't get either Edge if you have the Hesitant Drawback.

Will there be support for the SWADE version of Super Powers Companion?

Pinnacle is gonna release a SWADE version of Super Powers Companion. Will HL Classic get this as an update?

thanks
CRH

Oh, yes. The one downside to the Kickstarter model is that there's no way for us to get advance copies of the material, so we have to wait until the book is finalized before we can modify Hero Lab. And now you get it in PDF form before it's finished.

Checking in to see if there is a time frame for SWADE Superpowers? I have just started SPC 2nd ed, but my gaming group has purchased SWADE and SPC3 edition but we are just reviewing the rules. They look excellent and the updates are done nicely.
Thanks Sean

Well, my original plan was to do the Supers right after I finish Pathfinder. Then they went and reused a lot of the Pathfinder stuff for the new Fantasy Companion. So it makes more sense to do the Fantasy Companion after I get done with Pathfinder, then do Supers. I know, I want to use the SWADE Supers stuff too. I'll have a better idea where this all sits by next week, as I'm finishing up Pathfinder and want to do a deep read of the FC and see how much more I'd need to do to finish it up at that point.

@CapedCrusader Thanks for the update. I will keep my eye out. I am holding off upgrading to SWADE for the addition.
Does anyone else use Zadmar's Savage Worlds superhero generator? I like it but it is made for SPC1 and I wish it could be updated to the SPC3 edition.
On the thought, will there be a SWADE edition for Scifi?

Perhaps this has already been suggested but I am burned out from reading over old forum posts :)

With the upcoming SWADE updates, Pathfinder, and Fantasy Companion 2...

1. Is there anyway we can have all items in companion books marked with Standard item tag so they can be ignored instead of precluding everything by hand?

2. Can we have an option in Configure Hero and with code for custom files to hide ALL magic items as well. Again, so we don't have to preclude everything by hand.

1) This should be set up. Let me know if it isn't.
2) This system has been reworked significantly in the new version. Let me see what I can do.

Okay, yes, it looks like number 1 is working. I think I just happened upon a few items that must not have had the proper tag applied. Sigh, I probably should have kept a list of those.

I will try to do that in the future.

As for number 2, that would be awesome. I have been working on Magic Weapons and Armour from Fantasy Companion 1&2 and precluding existing armour and weapons, not too bad, maybe a dozen between the two. But holy crap, trying to preclude all or most of Magic Items...I will age considerably trying that. And I am already pretty damn old :)

I just think any future Companion or setting book should have have a mechanism to "hide" all so to speak. We have to do a lot of precluding in our setting files sometimes.

Regarding Required Strength especially in science fiction settings. There are times when a melee weapon does MORE damage than the Required Strength for the weapon.

Example: SciFi Staff Damage Rating: Str+d10, Minimum Strength: d6

But HeroLab only calculates Requirement warning and ruling based on the die value selected in the Damage Rating. Is there any way to have a code exception that allows the Minimum Strength die to override and fulfill the Requirement?

I can see this might happen with a magic weapon as well. Does more damage but easier to wield.

If there is already a method to allow this override, feel free to correct me :)
