Unfortunately, I can't activate the license, because I installed the last upgrade on Oct 28th, and they won't let me re-activate my license within 120 days of the previous event.
Has anyone else experienced this? I've never had that happen before. |

Often, when things like this happen, it's because when users place Hero Lab on a second computer, they use the same license number they used on their primary computer, instead of obtaining a free second license number - that means that your laptop and regular computer each keep telling the licensing server they're the real copy each time there's an update of HL (they don't do that check when it's just an update of the Pathfinder files). So, your 120 day waiting period keeps getting reset. |

Thanks, Mathias! I sent an e-mail via the link that popped up when I tried the re-activation wizard. I didn't realize that was the problem.
You're correct. I originally installed the program on one laptop, but moved my license to my new laptop when I got rid of my old one. It didn't occur to me that the move to the new laptop might have caused a problem. Thanks for replying on Christmas Eve! I hope you have a great weekend! |
