I remember reading somewhere here, though I can't seem to find the post (by Rob, IIRC), that there was going to be announcements/talk with White Wolf during their big event in October that would impact Hero Lab.
What's up, what's new, what's happening? |

What's going on anyway?
Seems like the HL-WoD community is too small ... and those few are lost and get no answers and no further support ... it's a pity. |

The big thing right now is Realm Works, which will be launching early next year. CCP approached us about collaborating to adapt the tool more specifically for WoD players, and they announced as much at the Grand Masquerade a couple months ago. However, that's still languishing in their legal department, last I was told. So that collaboration is uncertain right now.
We're still supporting WoD, although your observation about the community being small is accurate. Combined with the changes going on at White Wolf regarding WoD, we're not pumping lots of resources into WoD at the moment. However, if we can get the collaborative project running smoothly, that could possibly change. We have no involvement in the MMO, nor do we anticipate any future involvement in it. Probably the biggest reason the WoD files have been largely idle is that I'm the one guy in-house who works on them and my time has been non-existent. Between driving the architecture and design on Realm Works and Tournament Ace, developing all the server code for those products, and running the business, there just aren't enough hours in the day. Throw in a torn ligament in my thumb back in March that had me operating without the use of my right thumb for 6 months and you've got a pretty clear picture of where my time has gone. |
