No empirical data on my end...
But, from Facebook groups that I'm in for both Pathfinder and PF 2e, roughly half the people liked PF2e and half did not. Not sure if that will translate to a percentage that crosses to the new version and a percentage that does not. A significant number will not be moving to PF 2e, our group included. Lone Wolf is the best product on the market for Hero Lab classic (awesome job Lone Wolf, we absolutely love HL/RW). It would be amazing to have the added tools of HLO with the resources of HLC. |

I'd like to believe they will but Lone Wolf is horrible when it comes to keeping their customer base updated on the progress with their products.
The reason why I keep asking is that I have a couple friends who want to buy Hero Lab but I don't think it would be worth it for them to plug a crap ton of money into HeroLab classic and then soon after have to pay for porting their owned data sets over to Hero Lab online. I think they also said that this transfer fee includes 6 months of server access too ($12 value).

It's much better than have to buy all your packages for a system in HLO, like you originally did in Classic.
Current RPG's: Pathfinder (GM), Pathfinder (Player), Gamma World (GM, Pathfinder homebrew). HeroLab: 3.5 & Pathfinder. HL User Files for PF: Greyhawk Setting, Gamma World (WIP). DM and player of D&D since 1980. |
