I was looking at the Table of Contents pane on the right hand side and wondering how one would go about getting titles from the snippets from a topic (I work mostly in the Mechanics Reference) over there? What am I missing here?

The Table of Contents has the sections of an article or topic. You can use it to navigate around very long articles and topics. As far as I know there is no way to customize it.

You customize it by creating/removing/moving sections. I use this heavily because I offten create "adventure area" topics or where I can run much of an entire session and the TOC makes it very easy to jump around as the party explores.
