So, I have a friend who is going to be running an AoO game for us and I got the data files for the setting. However, everytime I download them and add them to my HL, the program errors out and will not function. I then have to uninstall and reinstall...
Am I the only one getting this issue? |

What kind of errors are they? I have seen datafiles give errors, and therefore not run, but they will not cause you to have to reinstall the program, only fix the naughty datafile. If you could copy the messages that it says that will help.

dartnet. I just downloaded the one you sent me as a PM. It is doing the same thing. Ok, this seems to be an issue with the program. I am on Windows 7u and it gives that error and has the same reaction on ALL data files I try to DL that are not on the main site...

If someone wants to test to see if this is a global problem caused by an update, my Broken Earth datafile is available for download off the Sneak Attack Press website, and was finished relatively recently. If that one doesn't do that to people, I suspect its some problem with older data files having been made unreadable by some change.
Its very weird that it would cause the program to need to reauthenticate, though. |

Yeah, I was going to say that it is an issue with Gobbo's specific computer, not Hero Lab and it is not a Windows 7 incompatibility. I ran it on Windows 7 Home for years.
