Animal companion

Hi all.

One of my players plays an elf sentinel with an animal companion. However, I seem to be unable to create his animal companion anywhere. It just gives me the basic description of an animal companion, but no specific tab. Is this how it works or am I doing something wrong?

Just keeping this alive, I can not find with in the editor how to add or change information for animal companions.
