Tomb of Secrets: Preist class issue

I downloaded the Tomb of Secrets Priest class from the Hero Lab Repository on D20 PFSRD. The only issue with the file is that in the PDF format channeling does d6 worth of damage rather than d8 as described in the class description. I tried to see if I find and correct the problem in the Hero Lab editor but I was not able to. Is this an issue with the data file or with the PDF application?

The author of the file was Bob(blzbob). Thanks!

So here is the OLD thread about this actually.

So the issue is it went to d6 when I put it to use the Generic Channel Energy ability which allows all the Feats in the game to then work with it.

Hmm I guess my question then becomes what happens when you take a Cleric level that does give 1d6 Channel Energy? Are you to have 1d6 channels and 1d8 channel energy?

Plus I don't see any easy way to support this and still have ALL the feats from different books understand that 1d8 Channel is considered the "xChannel" thing. Personally feel that the class should have instead given a +1 bonus to Channel Energy instead of making it 1d8 as that would be easy to support.

I haven't looked at that in a long time. Shadow's right though. There really isn't much that can be done unfortunately. Well, not without a lot more work than anyone should put into it. The Tome of Secrets wasn't really the best of documents and I've since ditched it without looking back.

First, thanks for the quick reply. One of the many things I like about Hero Lab and Lone Wolf is their attention to their customers.

Second, I completely forgot about the my old post on this subject. Sorry for the repost.

Finally, since a lot of work would be needed for what is basically a minor class addition that isn't played much, I can understand your reasons for not making the corrections needed. If worse comes to worse and I really want to play this class I could simply alter the PDF to reflect the d8 channeling.

Thanks again!

I'm a customer too. I don't work for them. I just fiddle with the editor from time to time.

I think you might be able to make a better priest by just using the cleric and the alternate channeling abilities.
