You only ever get 4 attacks with regards to the BAB. Feats and other stuff allow extra but not BAB alone.

AntHover, read that sentance again. "Note that no character can have more than 4 attacks based on its base attack bonus."

That third word is important and I thin you might have skipped over it.

Nope, I read all the words before trying to help the poster who thought you could have 5 attacks by providing a book/page reference that said you couldn't. My only fault here was posting a reply without refreshing the thread to notice the other folk who had already answered :)

Thanks for all the quick replies concerning the 5th attack, I know I have read the passage in the gamemastery section with regards to post 20th level play a few times, I guess just not recently enough.

Does anyone have any supporting information to offer on the other issue I posted? After doing some research it seems this is not a cut and dry issue. With it's light armor profieceny and weapon training does the Sohei monk get to flurry of blows or add their wis to AC when so equipped?

We'd really appreciate it if research on a rules issue was not conducted in the bug reports thread. The purpose of this forum is to discuss how Hero Lab implements the Pathfinder rules. The purpose of this thread is to report issues Hero Lab is not handling correctly. If you don't understand how the rules work, or are not certain exactly how some combination of effects should function, please ask those questions in other forums. For example, Paizo offers their own forums, which has section dedicated to rules questions.

The bug reports thread is already so long that it's already easy to miss issues that are reported. If we add too much rules discussion, we'll just make it harder for people to track what issues have and have not been posted yet, and to track the status of each issue.

Sorry AntHover, the quote you had at the beginning of your post confused me into thinking you were disagreeing with it.

Journal and Spending Prestige

Hi,

When I "purchase" something with prestige the points are taken away from my prestige point pool which is cool and I expect that to happen. Recently, I decided that I want to do something else, so I deleted the prestige award from my list and the "sell for..." screen comes up (again as expected) but there's nothing in there about prestige points. When I click through (which I've done selecting 100%) the points are _not_ added back into my pool on my Journal. If I try to tweak the points after that the fame gets wonky. I suppose there's a way to fix it but was wondering is this might be a bug or perhaps I'm missing something?

Cheers,
Ed

The description text for Armor Proficiency (Light) is incorrect according to page 118 CRB it should read

Benefit: When you wear a type of armor with which
you are proficient, the armor check penalty for that
armor applies only to Dexterity- and Strength-based
skill checks.

inside the main HL program the description is correct. On the pdf, however, it reads;

When you wear a type of armor with which you are proficient, the armor
check penalty for that armor applies only to Balance, Climb, Escape Artist,
Hide, Jump, Move Silently, Sleight of Hand, and Tumble checks.

It appears to repeat the same text block for the Medium and Heavy versions too!

As far as I'm aware, you can't "refund" prestige by selling back prestige items. You could possibly sell them for money, but you can't give back an item to the faction and get the prestige back automatically.

If your GM is OK with the refund, just delete the item and then adds the prestige back in on the Journal tab.

Hope this helps!

Hi Colen,

My point wasn't that I wanted to sell anything back or get a refund of points in the sense that you've stated; my point was that if someone makes a mistake when getting a PA and wanted to correct it then it didn't seem to be acting correctly relative to Prestige points being added/subtracted. Now I understand that the program simply doesn't handle things that way and any mistakes will have to be manually corrected. Fame/Prestige is officially tallied on the chronicle sheets and I didn't realize that HL was doing some sort of enforcement of the PA transactions in some round about way.

Thanks for the note.

Regards,
Ed

I'm creating a druid and purchased the Goblins of Golarion package to give him the Arson Domain, only to find it wasn't showing up for Druids (although it is for clerics). As a subdomain of Fire, it is available to Druids as well.

Echoing this, I believe (but am willing to admit being 'less right') that all subdomains should be available for druids/inquisitors when they have access to the primary domain.

I believe Druid Archetypes, like the Dragon Shaman, should have all the subdomains available from the primary domains offered.

Random supporting info:
http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/advanced/coreClasses/cleric.html#subdomains
"Subdomains can be selected by Druids (except the metal subdomain) and inquisitors (if their deity allows it)."

and

http://paizo.com/store/downloads/pathfinder/pathfinderRPG/v5748btpy8fo1/faq#v5748eaic9nd9 (from SKR).

Thanks.

On the 'Special Abilities' tab for my cleric 8 / holy vindicator 6, it says under the separate entries for stigmata that "Inflict 6 HP of bleed damage for a +3..." It should read "Inflict 3 HP of bleed damage for a +3..." because you take bleed and gain a bonus equal on various things to half your holy vindicator level.

Hi Colen,

I hope my reply made it clear the point I was making. Also wanted to mention a couple other things. In order to fix a Prestige award mistake (or just someone changing their mind about what they want) you suggested deleting the item from Other and adding the points back in via the Journal. I tried that but that screws up Fame. For example:

1. Fame=12/Prestige=12
2. Add Prestige award "Wealth of Knowledge" using 5 Prestige points
3. Fame=12/Prestige=7
4. Oops! Decided to save my prestige for the "Wayfinder, Bling".
5. Delete "Wealth of Knowledge"
6. Still Fame=12/Prestige=7
7. Add in a journal entry of 5 Prestige points.
8. Fame=17/Prestige=12
9. Prestige is OK, but Fame is off (5 points too many.)
10. Delete all journal entries (ouch) intending to start from scratch.
11. Rats! Fame=0/Prestige=-5

One other thought that is more a suggestion is that if one wants HL to enforce Prestige awards then it seems like it would be reasonable to lock in the Prestige awards once the character goes to the next level. So my level 3 character takes Wealth of Knowledge but if I change my mind I can easily edit things around. However, when I add another level, the interface locks in Wealth of Knowledge so that the player cannot easily remove it because now the transaction is (presumably) recorded on the chronicle sheet which is the authoritative record.

Anyway, y'all have the bigger picture of all this so take these comments as food for thought or discard them as the ravings of a madman. :)

Cheers,
Ed

Alright. In the next update, you'll be able to enter "-5" as the amount of prestige spent in a Journal, in order to undo spending.

Trait Bonuses Stacking

The traits Quantium University Graduate (Nex) and Desperate Focus (and Focused Concentration) grant typed, non-stacking trait bonuses to Concentration checks. Concentration checks for magus are computed with the bonuses stacked.
