Rolls and Boni

Choosing the "Striking Look" merit, will add a bonus (+1 or +2) to all manipulation and presence rolls, but there are no boni included in the traits and rolls summary (for example "Oratory").
There is only a star that points on specialisations that might have some effect on a roll - but no added boni as well.

This makes me think that issue is not a mistake but is concerned with the complexity of programming. Am I right?

It's not a mistake *and* it's not due to the complexity of programming. It's due to the wording of the merit. :-)

Please re-read the exact text of the merit. You'll find the following phrase: "when she attempts to use her looks to entertain, persuade, distract or deceive others".

Consequently, the bonus only applies under those specific situations and not all situations. That's why the star is next to the rolls where the bonus *might* apply, but it's up to the player and ST to adjudicate when the bonus does apply.

This makes sense.

That's why the star is next to the rolls where the bonus *might* apply, but it's up to the player and ST to adjudicate when the bonus does apply.
In this case ... shouldn't you add a star for those merits too (to me it seems that the stars only points to specialities and nothing else)?

Sorry, I got the terminology mixed up. You're talking about highlighting the merits and I'm talking about the rolls. There isn't any reason to put a star next to the merit. Any merit that has a situational benefit should be listed on the Special tab. This way, you hopefully won't forget about the bonus.

What I should also do is add an indicator next to all rolls (on the Rolls tab and the character sheet) that indicate a merit applies a situational bonus to it. That way, the reminder is in both places and nobody ever forgets to add the bonus. I'll add this to the todo list.
