Hero Lab Online - What I'd like to see

Oh in that case I definitely don't do that... no no no... i have Hero Lab computers installed in every room of the house including the toilet! You know... for convenience ;)

You are allowed to install on it on multiple devices that you own. I have it on a desktop, 2 laptops and a tablet. I lend out the spare laptop & tablet to guests while they are in my house. Pretty sure this can be done legally.

SO if someone owns 6 copies they can not lend them out?

That is true of almost all licensed software. You buy a license for your use on your computer. You may lend your computer to someone but you, leagly, must remove all software before giving it to another person, either free or as a sale. You are paying for permission to use the product and that permission ends with you.

If a second person in your group wants to use a piece of software than they need to buy that software.

Technically speaking, if you own the computers in question and loan them out, it's a bit more of a grey area. Because of how licensing works, the other people won't be able to update without checking in with you for the username/password, so it's basically just letting them use it. And, if it's all the same campaign, well, the difference between letting 5 of your friends work on their characters before the session, and letting them do it at home the night before is almost academic.

This is fine. ;)
