How to create a new natural weapon

panda

Well-known member
Couln't find where I can create a new natural weapon.
I need to create the Hook natural weapon. I used wTail and change the name "livename" and in HL it is ok butr it stays Tail in the statblock

Yes, this is what I use, but the main problem is :

It displays correctly in the Armory Column
It still displays the unchanged name in statblock output (File-output hero statblock)

ex:

Multiattack. The hook horror makes two hook attacks.

Other Melee Natural Attack. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target.
Hit: 11 (2d6+4) piercing damage.

This is a "core" bug and should be reported to LW because it should be using the "Livename" not the Thing name.

General Hero Lab Support & Community Resources is a sticky thread at top of Forum where you request official support for issues. A bug is ANYTHING you think is not working correctly. Weather you know for a fact or are just wondering if it is wrong. Report it using the above links to get an official response from Lone Wolf. :)

Ok I report this, hope it will work because I never get any confirmations from them.
If you are not even getting the "automatic" response 2 minutes after submitting it means your spam filter is grabbing it. If you use yahoo or google you will need to log into the website to find the email in your spam folder and move it out. Usually you can tell your email software that these emails are not spam.

Filled the report but nothing back from them and nothing in the spam using gmail.
I'm afraid all the bugs reports I filled this WE are lost.

Same here. Several bug reports submitted. I hope they are cached in a database and there is simply an issue with the confirmation function.

We're a small company and don't usually work on the weekends. If you don't hear anything back in 3 business days, give us a prod.

panda, our bug tracking system doesn't have any issues recorded from the email address you're using for your forum account here. Redjack, the last issue in our support system from the email you're using here is on 11/26/14. If there's another email you'd like me to look up, you can PM me those emails, and I can look up the status of the cases you've sent in.

I didn't received any confirmation. So they are all lost.

The only ones I remember is about the ability to add our own Natural attack on races like Drop for the Piercer or Hook for the Hook Horror and the fact that using "Livename" change the name in the interface but not in the statbock output.

Can you enter these bug reports yourself as it look I can't do it.

Statblock output has a different field which needs to be set, called sbName. That's not a bug, but a necessary feature carried over from Pathfinder, as we often need to display more information in the UI than would be necessary or desireable in the more compact statblock output.

Thanks, sbName works. Just the enhancement about creating new Natural weapon so that it won't be necessary to do these steps.

Oh damn forgot about that. I don't do much with statblocks as I have zero need to print anything ever.
